Overview
Moza is an image markup app for iOS and macOS. This Privacy Policy explains how image processing and the optional feedback feature handle your information.
Image Privacy
All image selection, editing, and saving happen locally on your device. Moza does not upload your photos or include them when you send feedback. No account, usage analytics, advertising, or tracking is used.
Face Detection and Face Data
When you use Face Mosaic, Moza processes your selected image on your device using Apple Vision and calculates face bounding rectangles to position mosaic masks. This information is used only to apply mosaic and let you select individual faces. Moza does not identify people, create face embeddings or biometric profiles, or use your images or face data to train models. Photos, face locations, and face selections are not collected by the developer, uploaded to a server, or transmitted to Apple or any other third party for face processing. Moza does not integrate an external AI service. Photos and face data used for image processing are never sent to any third-party service, including external AI services, or even to Moza's own servers.
Face Data Storage, Retention and Deletion
Face locations and face-selection history are held only in device memory during the face-selection step. They are released when you finish or cancel that step, or replace or clear the image. Face-detection records are not saved to files or databases or included in saved images. Editing images and undo/redo images are separate data: they may remain in memory while the current image is open and are released when it is replaced or cleared or the app process ends. Original photos and saved edits are managed and deleted by you in Photos or Files; synchronization follows your system settings. Optional feedback does not include photos, face-detection data, or face selections.
Voluntary Feedback
When you choose Send Feedback, Moza sends the text you enter, an optional email address, and basic technical details such as the app version, operating system version, device category, and locale to our server. This information is used only to review your suggestion, respond when requested, and improve Moza.
Data Retention
Feedback is retained only as long as needed to review it, respond, and improve the app. You may contact us to request deletion of feedback associated with an email address you provided.
Service Providers
Feedback is stored on our server and forwarded to our private Slack workspace as a developer notification. Slack processes this information on our behalf. Moza does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
